MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AND BENEFITS

Dealers, Retailers and Restaurants

Seafood Retailers will be expected to

1. Offer at least one local commodity throughout the year when seasonally available.
2. Be subject to state and federal food safety inspections.
3. Buy as much seafood as possible from Brunswick Catch dealers.
   
4. Mark each local product as Brunswick Catch so as to avoid confusion or mislabeling.

Seafood Dealers will be expected to

1. Have a valid Brunswick County business address.
2. Be subject to state and federal food safety inspections and hold a valid NC Seafood Dealer’s License.
3. Buy as much seafood as possible from Brunswick Catch fishermen.
4. Mark each local product as Brunswick Catch so as to avoid confusion or mislabeling.

Restaurants will be expected to

1. Carry at least one local commodity throughout the year whatever is seasonally available.
2. Purchase from local dealers and fishermen who belong to Brunswick Catch as much as possible.
3. Mark each local product as Brunswick Catch so to avoid confusion or mislabeling.

Benefits for Dealers, Retailers and Restaurants

Annual fee of $100

1. The right to nominate and vote for Brunswick Catch board members.
2. A Brunswick Catch Window Member decal.
3. Use of a Brunswick Catch flag or sign for public display.
4. Recognition as a certified member on the Brunswick Catch web site.
5. Use of a label or stamp with the Brunswick Catch logo to mark local catch and create menu inserts or identification signs.
6. A Brunswick Catch bumper sticker.
7. A NC Seafood Availability Chart.
   
   

Commercial Fishermen

Must hold an active NC Standard Commercial License or NC Shellfish License.

Benefits for Fishermen:  For an annual fee of $25

1. The right to nominate and vote for Brunswick Catch Board members.
2. A Brunswick Catch Window Member decal.
3. Recognition as a certified member on the Brunswick Catch web site.
4. A Brunswick Catch bumper sticker.
5. A Brunswick Catch flag, sign or T-shirt for $10.
6. A NC Seafood Availability Chart.
   
   

Associate Members

Individuals who are not directly affiliated with commercial fishing yet wish to support the Brunswick Catch branding program.

Benefits:  For an annual fee of $50

1. The right to nominate and vote for Brunswick Catch Board members.
2. Recognition on the Brunswick Catch web site.
3. A Brunswick Catch bumper sticker.
4. A NC Seafood Availability Chart.
